The Challenge
Pipeline monitoring has been a manpower-intensive activity, relying heavily on manual inspection of each individual pipe in the system. It is time consuming and tedious for inspectors to inspect a long pipeline.
What We Did
By using a combination of autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with camera-based sensors for the inspection of the pipelines, productivity will be vastly improved. The inspectors will be able to control the drones, scan condition of pipes and drone health via this platform.
